Why wont crysis 2 work?

I bought crysis 2 off steam and it downloaded perfectly fine no problems. when it finished i clicked the icon to start it up and it brought me through the activation code process then said the activation code i gave was good. but then nothing. it doesn't start up the game and if i click it again it brings me to the activation process again with no results. idk whats going onWhy wont crysis 2 work?
You have a crappy computer, buy a better one.Why wont crysis 2 work?
Updated your whole system? .NET 4 etc - Cant really think of any other prerequisites



Dont think they should effect the install but make sure your whole system is up to date 100%



Enough room on your HDD ?



Scan your system for malware, do a disk check ? .... I`ll post more as I think of them

Just go buy the game. Downloads are never 100% trustworthy, even from Steam. Contact their management and explain what has happened, they will either fix the problem or give you goodies for their stuff-up.
You could always try using the activation code with the EA Download Manager instead, because it'll be a valid EA code.
