When I open up the Crysis 2 PC Demo for the first time through steam everything is alright, I set resolution at 1920x1080, hardcore graphics settings but when I go into a game my fps falls to 0-1 and my game world is transparent (invisible/see-through). I tried the game at the lowest resolution 800x600, game runs at 50-60 fps but the game world is still transparent. If anybody has this problem or knows how to fix this problem or has any suggestions please reply. Thanks in advance for who ever gives me a hand.

Never had this happen to me. I am using the multiplayer demo tho so if you have the leak it could be a poor torrent.

I play at 1400x900 cos my monitor is crap as but play at gamer because i see that as best looking. I average 60-70 fps.

I'm not too sure. Could it be something to do with a program running. I know when i play BFBC2 if i press tab + alt everytime a new match starts theres a black screen and then i have to press alt + tab at the start of each match.

Why aren't my games in Steam full screen?
When I open any game that used to be full screen in Steam, such as all Half Life games, Crysis, etc, they aren't full screen. The game shows up in the center of the screen surrounded by a large black border that takes up the rest of the screen. The window's bar at the bottom is gone and so is everything else so it is as if the game is full screen, but it's only in the center of the screen. I am using a Windows Vista and this problem never existed before so I don't believe it has anything to do with the graphics card or anything like that. Call of Duty Black Ops Steam Trade?
I want Black Ops and will trade a Steam account or EADM account with several games. The Steam account has Portal Half Life 2 Deathmatch and the other DLC, Homefront, and CID The Dummy. And the EADM account has All three Crysis games. I will only trade for a Steam Account with Black Ops or I will give you both accounts if you have both DLC. Steam won't launch games?
For some reason Steam won't launch any games. I've tried Crysis and Crysis Warhead (the only two games I have on Steam haha) and neither will launch. Steam just says "Launching game" then goes to a black screen then the game freezes. Steam is up to date as are the games. The games used to launch. I just upgraded my video card and put my computer into a new case. The new video card is an XFX Radeon HD 5870.

Can i load the same game from Origin on two diffrent computers?
My brother who lives in USA wants to buy me Crysis 2 from Origin instead of buying it from steam since its alot cheaper. So when there isnt a gift option on Origin yet is it possible that he logs in on my Origin acount, purchases it and then i can log in to the account in Finland and then download the game? why not you try a benchmark test that might help you figure it out if the game can run to your computer, i just don't remember the site where the specific game list for benchmarking is.

I can't get the Crysis 2 demo working?
I downloaded the demo from steam, but when I try to join a game, only one server shows up and when I try to join it tells me the server is full, even if the player count is 6/12 for that server. It also shows the ping as 0 every time on every server.

Ok, I just got a new computer and it is great. I can finally run Crysis and I install it on Steam and it runs fine. I looked into the mods for it a little bit more and I just had to be stupid and I tried to install Natural Mod. It didn't work and it screwed up my Crysis. None of the the Saved games work and when I start a new game, it sticks on a black screen after I watch the intro. Please help me. Crysis 2 is definitely a must-have! There isn't any other game like this; The graphics and game play are amazing. There are flaws in this game like buggy enemies and solid to boring campaign. The multiplayer is great too; in fact its the most interesting part of the whole game. I'm giving this game a 5/5. BTW, I can't believe that x-play gives this game 4 stars and Marvel vs Capcom 5 stars. The multiplayer in Marvel vs Capcom is laggy. Unbelievable!!

I'm using a Windows Vista computer and this problem just recently started. When I play any steam game, like Crysis, any of the Half Life games, Left 4 Dead, Garry's mod, etc, all of them are just in a little square in the center of the screen and are surrounded by a big black border. absolutely NO more than 125 bucks. The thing was a budget PC 5 years ago when it was new. If its still factory, it has chump change integrated graphics and a half gig of ram.

absolutely NO more than 125 bucks. The thing was a budget PC 5 years ago when it was new. If its still factory, it has chump change integrated graphics and a half gig of ram.

Hello, I just download the "Crysis: Maximum Edition" off of Steam. I started to play crysis and it needed to configure directx and some other stuff. Then, It booted up in a window for some reason, and Kaspersky AV '11 flags it saying it uses similar technology to that of a PDM keylogger. Every time I start up Crysis, that warning comes up and it adds two threats to the "other" column. Is it a false alarm? What should I do about it?Does Crysis have a keylogger?

Crysis 2 Sandbox 3 Editor Question?
I just installed the recent crysis 2 sandbox 3 editor. I have a steam bought version of crysis 2. The editor works fine, I can change terrain, add objects, AI etc, but everytime I try to load a texture the editor crashes, everytime. I tried re-installing the game and the editor and I have the 1.9 patch already. Why wont crysis 2 work?
I bought crysis 2 off steam and it downloaded perfectly fine no problems. when it finished i clicked the icon to start it up and it brought me through the activation code process then said the activation code i gave was good. but then nothing. it doesn't start up the game and if i click it again it brings me to the activation process again with no results. idk whats going onWhy wont crysis 2 work?

The stock cooler is fine for gaming. Gaming never takes a newer processor like the i3-2100 to 100% max anyway. You have to run a Stress test like Prime 95 to do that. If the stock CPU cooler is properly installed, it should be enough to cool the i3-2100 even if you were running a stress test.
People screw up the installation all the time. On top of that they don't have enough sense to clean their system. Not being lazy and keeping your house cleaned and vacuumed will help a lot. Since this cuts down on the dust.

I'm a frequent gamer who has recently moved away from console gaming and has started playing PC games instead. The game I switched for was mainly portal, which soon led me to learn about the rest of valve. Since that time, I've only upgraded once. Now I've recently bought CRYSIS through steam while it was on sale. The fact that I can't play on anything higher than low with a stable frame rate has made me start thinking that maybe it's time for an upgrade on my pc, but I'm not sure what to upgrade or to what extent to upgrade that part. I have a crappy old HP (Media center edition) and it runs XP professional (5.1, build 2600) service pack 3.

AMD Anthon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.19 GHz
3070 MB of Ram
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT with 512 MB
Running DirectX 9.0 The upgrade I made in the past was the 9800 GT and the 2 extra GB of ram. The 5870 itself is around $400, a 955 is around $200, to overclock the 955 you'll need a very good aftermarket cooler around $50, 4gb of ram will be around $100, a good mobo to overclock on will be around $150, and you'll more than likely spend more than $100 on a case and a hard drive. Also, to run directx 10 or 11, you need windows vista or windows 7 (say, around $200). Is it worth it? To me, no. To you? I just downloaded Crysis from Steam and the game crashes every time I try to play it. If I adjust any of the settings from high to low or even just click on something it crashes. Crysis Windows 7 help?
I was going to buy crysis on Steam but it says in system requirements that your OS must be WIndows XP or Vista. So I cant buy a Windows 7 compatible version off of steam? And it also Has a footnote next to where it says Xp and Vista that says Only the 32-bit version is currently available. I bought crysis from steam because of the sale going on. And it came to the registration code. (There was already one in there since its steam). I clicked on Done and it wouldn't work. So i kept on trying multiple times and it still wouldn't work. I went and checked the cd key afterwards and deleted the Original one, then pasted it inside. It still wont work. I need a few opinions, which is better steam or retail for example: oblivion/fallout 3 or farcry 2?

Is it worth it to download the full version of a PC game via internet on Gamestop.com or Steam?
There aren't any cost savings, but the games I want (Crysis and GTA IV) aren't in stock at any stores locally. Crysis 2 - DX 11 Disabled After Applying The Patch?
I have the steam version of Crysis 2. The 1.9 patch was automaticly updated. After it was updated, I applied the texture and DX 11 patch. It seems the texture patch is fine because I can enable it but the DX 11 is still greyed and disabled even after applying the patch. My GPU is Direct X 11 capable (Ati Radeon 6870). What do you think of Crysis 2's single player campaign?
I just purchased it on Steam yesterday, and so far I think it's pretty damn cool. It's definitely one of the better single player FPS campaigns I've played in a long time. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet.What do you think of Crysis 2's single player campaign?
It had a great storyline and was much longer then the home front campign, I liked it slot because there are many ways you can hand each level, either spending time killing everyone or strategic cloaking which is what I did. Why wont bioshock start on steam?
i cant get bioshock on steam to launch. i just see the logo and then the screen goes black and i have to use the task manager to close it. i know my computers powerful enough. i play other newer games on steam like fear2 and portal2 and crysis 2 on it with no sweat. i don't know why it wont start. my computers also fairly newWhy wont bioshock start on steam?

Any games bought from store can be added to your steam library. Steam can be better sometimes if they have games on sale (like Christmas they have amazing sales). Help i cant open the console in crysis(steam version) and i have a G50VT-X5 i think and i dont now what to do! and yes i tried the ~ buttonCant open console in Crysis!?
Open device manager, click human interface devices, and uninstall microsoft ehome infrared. This is the expresscard remote, which I think the dv5 has too. It'll reinstall itself everytime you restart though (if the remote is connected). Have no idea why, but this fixes the console for crysis.

Why do I need an Intel Processor to use Steam with a Mac?
I own a Powermac G5, which is certainly fast enough to use high performance games like Crysis. I just don't understand why it's so important that I have an INTEL Processor. Because Intel processors run newer versions of Mac OS X natively and Power processor only virtually therefore Steam developers decided they would not support Power processors.
They did not want to loose their time on something that will be very soon extinct.
The moment Steve announced move to Intel Power Macs were history and developers do not want to support them any more.

You are now a soldier called Psycho, -the story is still based from the first Crysis. -its just well... your playing as Pyscho not Nomad. So steam has made an error OR they might have just released that game the same time as Crysis warhead has. They say for Crysis warhead you can do more things that you couldnt on the first but hey if you wanna know you gotta try right?

For months now I've been using my Xbox 360 controller (wired) for all my games with no problem (drivers installed and all). Today however I tried to start both Rage and Warhammer Space Marine (both run through steam) and they no longer recognize my controller. Steam will not launch Crysis or Crysis Warhead. I have re-installed them both and neither will launch. I have also verified to game integrity in Steam. Usually when I launch them Steam says "Preparing Crysis for launch..." and then I get a message that says "Crysis has stopped working". I just upgraded my video card from an nVidia to an ATI -- but that shouldn't effect anything as I uninstalled the nVidia drivers and installed the ATI drivers. My system can easily handle Crysis. I've tried launching from Steam, I've tried launching from the Steam folder, I've tried launching from the Games folder -- nothing works. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Please, help? Any ideas?

It doesn't launch because it keeps asking for a registration code that I do not have or I do not know where to find it. I have no CD case or game manual. The email they sent me gave a confirmation number based on the purchase but does not clear the registration code.

I would say go CD. The feeling of having a hard copy of the game is re-leaving. Steam sometimes downloads it wrong and you have to download it all over again which is just a pain in the *eh hem*.
CD only requires internet for patching. Over steam you have to download around 8 gigs (just looked at the folder size) which is not exactly a good idea when you have limited bandwidth.

How to download Crysis 2 on Steam at 12 A.M. instead of in 10-12 hours?
Steam says that Crysis 2 will unlock in approximately 12 hours, though it's 10:48 p.m. now Eastern Standard time. It would save me a lot of time if I could start downloading it at midnight instead of tomorrow in the afternoon, so how do I do it? I think it's unfair that the game is going to be sold in an hour at stores and yet I can't even download it until late tomorrow. Is there a way to change my time zone to fix this "glitch"? Hi, im downloading Crysis with Steam right now. And i want to play TF2 at the same time, but steam pauses the download when i launch tf2.

Here's how to use devmode. Make a crysis a shortcut on your desktop, then right click on it and it will say "properties". There will be something called "target" where the game is saved. At the end it, write "DEVMODE". I think this is how. If I am wrong, then look up "crysis devmode cheats".

All i understand so far is that it is something of a sequel/exapansion. But its cheaper than the original crysis on steam, why is this?

I know Crysis warhead does, but I'm wondering if the original has it. I know the original by itself didn't have it, but they made some Crysis Ultimate Edition which included DRM for both I believe. It's currently broken boss. The same issue has happened to me. You can take some consolation in the knowledge that we are not alone in our suffering as there are currently 47 pages worth of people afflicted by this issue over at the Steam forums.

That requires editing you system registry and it apparently doesn't work for everyone. If you're not comfy with that I totally understand. I never downloaded from steam before but if its done downloading did you go to the steam account and go to the games tab and activate the game by punching in a activation code? I think they send you a actvation code in your email.
So if you get your keycode in the email go to game tab, then go to activate game, gray screen will come up then you hit next button, you agree to license agreement, punch in your keycode, then i think you hit next again and just keep doing what it says and so on...
So I guess if you have a retail keycode then you would punch that in.
Go to Steam Libary tab, then games tab, activate game option, next, agree to license agreement, next, punch in keycode they gave you, next...

well sandbox only comes with non steam version but!!!!!!! you can download the crysis singleplayer demo which comes with sandbox then bring the crysis maps over to sandbox and there ya go, sandbox ;)
