What is the difference between Crysis and Crysis Warhead?

What's the difference between Crysis and Crysis Warhead? I am looking on STEAM's game list and it says they were released on the same day so I didn't think Warhead was an expansion. Unless STEAM has made an error on the release dates.

Crysis came out last year (2007) while Crysis Warhead (2008) came out this year. Crysis warhead is just like a continuation of Crysis. You are now a soldier called Psycho, -the story is still based from the first Crysis. -its just well... your playing as Pyscho not Nomad. So steam has made an error OR they might have just released that game the same time as Crysis warhead has. They say for Crysis warhead you can do more things that you couldnt on the first but hey if you wanna know you gotta try right?

Crysis Warhead is an amazing game i played and ended same stages in a number of different ways. You can play it as a stealthgame like Splinter Cell , or a head on shooting game. You can effectively use environment in this game.

they have the same release date on steam because they were brought out on the same day on steam. Crysis was never originally on steam until warhead came out ... duh

crysis is a full game + multiplayer that was released in 2007. you need to keep the dvd in to play it.

crysis warhead is a stand alone expansion that was released in 2008. the case ships with a second dvd, that is effectively the multiplayer, called crysis wars.
