Is there DRM on Steam?

Is there DRM on Steam? I was thinking about getting Crysis Warhead but people are saying that DRM is what can make it annoying. So does Steam have it?Is there DRM on Steam?
In a way, Steam is DRM -- you have to be signed into Steam to be able to play your games, or put yourself in "offline" mode if you know you're going to be disconnected for a while.

However, some games have their own DRM in addition to Steam. Crysis Warhead is one of them, and it uses SecuROM with a 5 machine activation limit. Steam is generally good about putting information like that right on the store page for the game.Is there DRM on Steam?
No. Steam's philosophy is
"You buy the game once, and you can install it on as many computers as you want, however many times you want, at no extra charge."
